About Tersus GeoCaster

The Tersus NTRIP Caster Service is a cloud-based NTRIP caster that allows users to broadcast and distribute GNSS correction data over the internet for RTK positioning applications.

Using a compatible Tersus Smart Receiver such as the Luka GNSS Receiver, Oscar Trek, or Oscar Ultimate, corrections can be transmitted directly to GeoCaster through the receiver’s internal cellular modem and SIM card. Once connected, the receiver can operate as an internet-based RTK base station, allowing authorized users to access correction data from virtually anywhere with an internet connection.

Open RTCM Correction Distribution

The Tersus Caster Service broadcasts industry-standard RTCM 3.x correction data that can be received by most GNSS receivers and NTRIP clients supporting RTCM standards. This open format allows corrections from a Tersus Smart Receiver to be used across a wide range of hardware and software platforms, making it an ideal solution for organizations operating mixed equipment fleets or supporting multiple positioning workflows.

Common applications include:

  • Machine control and autonomous systems
  • UAS and drone RTK/PPK operations
  • Land surveying and construction layout
  • GIS and asset data collection
  • Mobile mapping and reality capture
  • Precision agriculture and machine guidance
